MEGAUPLOAD’s infamous rise and fall has somewhat subsided now. What’s left is a rebirth of sorts with MU’s creator, Kim Dotcom pushing onward with his new endeavor simply called “MEGA”. The beauty of it is, given the events of the past, a heavy focus on privacy, security and encryption. Also, it doesn’t hurt that anyone and everyone gets 50 GB free to start with and reasonable pricing for storage upgrades available.
Android was the first platform to get an official app several months ago. Just within the last week or so iOS joined the fray with its own official MEGA app. And thanks to an email inquiry by a Reddit user, we now know that MEGA is currently seting its sights on Windows Phone.
The response by the company shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise all things considered. With Windows Phone continuing to gain ground (albeit slowly in many parts) in the mobile world, it only makes sense for companies to add it to the list of platforms to support, especially a platform that wants to be the leader in secure cloud storage.
One other gem that’s been revealed – Windows dekstop sync support.
