GupShup, a mobile messaging mlatform has come up with a new enterprise collaboration tool.
Christened TeamChat the mobile –only enterprise collaboration tool will be globally available and will seemingly extend the functionality of the GupShup Platform.
What is TeamChat? TeamChat is essentially an organized and structured messaging and collaboration platform designed for companies and SMEs. The company claims the app is designed to make business teams more efficient and productive.
TeamChat offers multiple customization options to tweak in-message forms to his/her business and team requirements, and adapt it to one’s workflow than the other way round. There’s a feature called ‘Smart Forms’ that is said to reduce clutter or seemingly meaningless chatter in order to allow ‘Important Messages’ to stand–out. This feature also aggregates the responses into structured data, hiding low-level data and showing high-level insights.
In other words, TeamChat is essentially a platform that intelligently sifts through the communications and is able to condense the dialogue to form quickly understandable Data that serves the purpose of intimation, without having to manually scroll through the endless pages of text.
The makers have cleverly designed backend APIs and Connectors that allow TeamChat’s integration within existing ERP, CRM, CSR, SFA and other enterprise systems. This allows GupShup a great way to promote TeamChat as an efficient way that manages to work well with pre–existent systems that the employees are familiar with.
GupShup began its journey as an SMS Communications tool, though later the company decided to join the internet based messaging apps bandwagon and might have feared going into oblivion owing to multiple similar platforms which were well funded to spend on multi–channel promotion. Couple this with strict regulations of TRAI governing the SMS and it now becomes quite clear why GupShup chose to completely realign its product to focus on companies, rather than individuals. What do you think?
