LG G2 Mini Unboxing and First Impressions
LG G2 Mini, like all other “mini” versions out there, is the smaller and underpowered device of last year’s champion. Let us take a quick look at this youngling.
The package contains the following essentials for the smartphone: charger, micro usb cable, and headphones. The charger is sleek and compact, but I find the cable short for mobility if ever you will use it for your car charger.
Compared to other mini smartphones, it is lighter and easier to grip; very comfortable to hold. It comes with the same back pattern, as well as the power/lock and volume rocker keys at the back featured in LG G2.
For those who prefer the feeling of glass more than screen protectors, the 4.7 inch IPS LCD display is protected with a standard Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Gone are the days of physical home buttons in the front face (my previous phones had these annoying buttons) so you can expect the same offering of front touch buttons from LG G2.
Basically, it is really a mini-me of LG G2. I do not really see that much difference in design aside from the slightly wider bevels and material “feel” of the product. What bothers me though are the underpowered specs compared with the G2, and how it will perform with heavy apps and games.
Aside from that, it runs on Android KitKat (4.4.2), something to look forward to with regards to improvements in transition and messaging and calling.
