Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: Chilango Fresh Mexican Kitchen in London.

Chilango bring their stampede of Mexican flavours to London’s bustling Cannon Street. Designed by I-AM (the agency behind all eight Chilangos), this seventh site encapsulates everything beloved about the brand. The corner space and high footfall of the area presented obvious challenges but the end result is light and inviting, a buzzing, yet comfortable, place to grab a tasty burrito.

Combining eye-catching details, like the resplendent shrine, with the brand’s signature bold graffiti, this new site successfully reflects Chilango’s quirky spirit and personality.

The interior concept is vibrant, lively and dynamic. Authentic Mexican tiling and bright neon signage are used to bring pops of colour to the space, whilst TVs dotted around the wall keep diners entertained with Mexican soap operas.

I-AM designer James Coates says of the concept: “We worked with the architecture in place to achieve a stripped-back look and incorporated as much raw material as possible in a nod to the popular street-side cafes of Mexico City”.
