Webaroo Founder Launches CRV-backed TeamChat, The Next Big Idea in Messaging
Menlo Park, CA – TeamChat, the smart mobile messenger structured to reduce clutter through summation and organization of messages, has launched out of its Beta. A product of Webaroo founder Beerud Sheth, TeamChat’s free enterprise chat and video application enables an unlimited number of people to communicate at once while providing a clean means of business communication without reduction of quality.
TeamChat’s mission is to provide a clutter-free messaging application that can handle the requisites of any sized team. The application has also raised the bar on data security, providing complete, cloud-based encryption, and can ensure users that their data is secure at all times. TeamChat communications platforms are far-reaching and can manage functions within specific departments such as sales, service, engineering, human resources, administration, finance and corporate communications.
“Chat has not solved the problems of enterprise, so we did it,” says TeamChat founder and CEO Beerud Sheth. “We are dramatically improving communications along organizations with large numbers of employees. We are making chat seamless.”
Unlike other applications, TeamChat was used in Beta by some of the largest corporations in Asia, including Axa, Thomas Cook and Unilever. TeamChat’s parent company, Webaroo, raised $10 million in capital from Charles River Ventures, Helion, Globespan and Tenaya. The app is available on Android, iOS and Windows platforms.
