Spotify has announced to be partnering with Google Cloud Platform for their streaming service saying they are comfortable outsourcing as in this era of technology the cloud platform products have reached to a maturity level.
Until now the popular music streaming service managed everything themselves vial several providers and data centers such as Amazon Web Services.
The streaming service provider said deal with Google is big for them and they had chosen the company after it acquired their startup Beebop in November 2015.
According to Spotify, they could have chosen other companies to including Microsoft’s Azure cloud, but they feel Google is the cloud leader and they are an industry leader in the streaming category.
The streaming service is now a competitive segment and Spotify is expecting big players to be battling it out.
Now, for Spotify there will be lot less headaches in the infrastructure department in terms of cloud platform.
