Curiosity Rover Science Team Includes Many Experts on Ooids.

John P Grotzinger was project scientist for the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Curiosity rover mission. He wrote the following article on ooids: “Numerical modeling of ooid size and the problem of Neoproterozoic giant ooids.”

Dr. R.E. Summons is an expert on ooids. He wrote an article entitled “Lipid biomarkers in ooids from different locations and ages: Evidence for a common bacterial flora”. (see http://doi.org/10.1111/gbi.12047)
