This video shows some tips for putting on a coat for a C6-7 quadriplegic.
Personally, I also leave my coat behind me after I shrug it off, using my shoulders. That way, the sleeve openings are within close enough reach that with a bit of assistance I can shrug it right back on. It’s all about the angle.
I’ve found, as she mentions, that buying coats a bit larger is helpful.
Sometimes I just go without a coat, but I don’t recommend that approach.
