Busy Weekend
As usual, eh? LOL, yep, I’m busy doing stuff. All kinds of stuff. My way too, LOL So, today, I’m texting on the phone with a friend and feeding goats. That’s not easy at all. I’d just returned home from a meet up and the babies were anxious to be fed.
They’ve been staying outside all day, getting a mid afternoon bottle and then back out until dark. They come in for the night feed and sleep in the playpen.
So, the meetup was interesting. Mostly before it even got going. Apparently, there’s a new preacher and he’s got a preacher wife who is a bit of a witch. I came to that conclusion in about 2.2 seconds of meeting her. Total control freak. Rut-ro, you know how much I hate that, LOL. I am not nor have I ever been a religious fanatic. Grew up in an Evangelical Free Church and we were not pushy or self righteous, judgemental, rude or condemning. I am not without faith, I just choose to not shove it other peoples faces and I expect the same from them. Sooooo, when some woman I don’t even know comes up to me and “instructs” me on how I need to be and what I can and can’t do on “her” “holy ground”, it puts me off in a heartbeat. Judgemental, pushy control freak witch. Guess what? She’ll be controlling her holy ground all by her damn self.
So, what else have I been doing??? Yesterday, I made me some apple cranberry jelly! Wooohoooo! I finally got a batch to come out right and it’s about perfect if I do say so myself. My little experiments don’t always work out (surprise, yah, I know, LOL) but this one worked great. Now I have to make some biscuits so I can have jelly on them 
One of my rabbits, due on the 9th, had kits Thursday. Of course, there was no nest in there for her yet and all the kits died. Why she birthed so early, I don’t know. Her sister is also preggers and she now has a nest so maybe I will get live bunnies yet.
I borrowed my friend Mikes trailer (thunder5ranch) and took another friends 2 thoroughbred mares(the ones living here) to SIU for a date with a great stallion named Northward Bound (Norbert). It pleases me to see that the equine design is still being used. I turned that design into an embroidery pattern for machine embroidery and did jackets for the equine program several years back.
Now the pot bellied pig (dexter bull Weeman) has no buddies. Daisy was happy to step back in. Daisy and Weeman spent the day chasing each other around and head butting. Maybe Wee will figure out he’s a bull now and do what bulls do.
Oh, I’ve got 4 chicks running around the barn lot now. One of the Australorp hens hatched herself some chicks. I was wondering where she’d disappeared to. I ave no idea where she was nested. It’s like an easter egg hunt here every day, LOL I’ve got me some plans to fix that problem tho……
