(Before It's News)
Last week I received some fabulous news! I applied several months ago to become a FitFluential Ambassador. On Friday, I received an email telling me I was one of their new ambassadors! I am beyond thrilled to work such amazing, talented people. When I think about some of the people who motivate me in my fitness journey, I automatically think of several FitFluential ambassadors.

I can remember a time that I got so overlooked, y’all. This blog started out just talking about my little boy. Eventually I thought I wanted to be one of those awesome DIY’ers and complete all of these creative projects. (Um, I don’t really have a creative bone in my body…Ha!) I remember applying to be a co-host on a large DIY/decorating/organizing blog. I adored the blog and the lady behind it. I had completely some great projects around the house recently and I just knew it would be recognized. I patiently waited just knowing this would be my shot at doing something awesome with the blog. The day she announced several of her new co-hosts, I just cried. At the time I felt so rejected.
I had no idea there were better things ahead for me.
Since that rejection, I have lost 80 pounds. Through that journey I have gained some amazing new friends and worked with some awesome bloggers. I’ve had opportunities thrown my way that surpassed any of my hopes for this little blog. I finally did become a co-host for a creative link party (
Stringtown Home‘s very own Tips & Tricks) and then I started my own link party where I refuse to turn away anyone who wants to co-host. I’ve been there…I’ve felt the pain of being rejected….just hoping for one person to give me a shot. I found out that being myself, sharing my struggles and successes, and being real is much more empowering than trying to fit into a role that just isn’t me.
When I started this blog, I had no idea I’d be writing about weight loss, clean eating, and fitness. That was probably the farthest thing from my mind! I am so thankful for all of the changes (big and small) that happened in my life. There’s no other place I’d rather be!
