James Wesley Rawles Warns: ‘If the Power Grid Goes Down, I Would Not Recommend Being In a Town of More Than 500 Population’

James Rawles on events that may trigger catastrophe:
There are so many different scenarios. If we were to just look at the current economic situation I think the big trigger will be the repudiation of American treasury paper by foreign investors. If they say, he we’re not going to roll over the American treasury paper anymore, we’re going to take our ball and bat and go home, then that very well could trigger an economic meltdown starting with a collapse in confidence of the United States dollar and it could very quickly click over into a mass inflation – very quickly followed by major rioting in the major cities and the whole cascade from there a lot like how I described in my novel .
But there’s umpteen other scenarios. You know there’s a flake [sic] scenario, there’s a global war scenario, nuclear war scenarios – there’s so many different things that can go wrong and any number of different reasons why life as we know it could cease very quickly.
There are obviously a variety of different, unrelated situations that our society could encounter that would end “life as we know it.” Now, this does not necessarily mean that the entire globe will be wiped out by an asteroid the size of Texas (though, we won’t completely rule this out as a possibility). What the end of the world as we know it actually means is that we could see a complete shift in how our society operates, meaning that there may not be paper currency, ATM machines, movie theaters, or Starbucks coffees on every corner – perhaps for a time all commerce and trade would come to a screeching halt until whatever caused the imbalance begins to recover.

Scenarios like this are not only likely, but occur regularly as evidenced by the many wars of the past century, hyperinflation (i.e. Zimbabwe, Weimar), and natural disasters (i.e. Hurricane Rita and the Asian Tsunami). Rather than watching these catastrophes playing out on television or in history books, to truly prepare yourself and your family for potential catastrophes, it is important to think in terms of them happening to you directly and to consider how you would respond.
James Rawles on Grid Scenarios:
Once you get past about 500 people, it really becomes unmanageable, especially with no radio communications and no phones to think that you can pull together as a community. Once you lose that sense of community, it’s basically every man for himself. I think people will go kind of Mad Max in an absolute worst case with the power grid down.
We’re looking at two different situations. Again, in the former situation where the power grid stays up, you might do well in a city of five or ten thousand people.
If the power grid goes down, again, I would not recommend being in a town of more than 500 population.

There’s definitely going to be a public health crisis at the very least, if not a situation where the cities become absolutely unlivable very quickly – I’m talking within two weeks.

Mr. Rawles points out the potential for “every man for himself” Mad Max scenarios as being likely outcomes in the event of a down grid. Whether you’re in the city or in rural parts of America you will either be the one looking for food and resources because you didn’t prepare, or you will be the one defending against Mad Max with a full belly and a self defense strategy.
Winter vs. Summer:
If we were to have the onset of a collapse in summertime we’d see a public health crisis very quickly. If it were to happen mid-winter we’d actually see more people dieing of exposure, dieing of the cold, than we would of dieing of disease, especially int he Eastern United States and the North East.
It doesn’t take too long a period before blankets are insufficient – people don’t have any alternate source of heat they’ll be freezing to death in large numbers.
Then what happens in the next spring when everything thaws out? Then you have a really big public health crisis because not only are you worried about human waste – you’re also worried about thousands upon thousands of unburied bodies.
We could be in a situation where we literally could see a 90% die-off in the major metropolitan regions. Ninety percent population loss and that’s just based on loss of the power grid alone, not counting the violence of people as food supplies dwindle, going from house to house taking what little is left – fighting over the scraps in effect.

A recent report from the Center for Security Policy suggests that Mr. Rawles’ estimation of a 90% die-off is right on target, as previously discussed in Within One Year 9 Out of 10 Americans Would Be Dead.
What to do:
I highly recommend that if any of your listeners have the opportunity, if they’re self employed or if they can find employment, or if they’re retired, that they move to a lightly populated rural region that’s in a food producing area. In the event of a true worst-case scenario, I refer to it as When the Schumer Hits the Fan, that’s going to be your safest place to be. There, the population loss will be minimal.
But otherwise, in a grid down collapse that goes on for
more than a year, we literally could see a 90% population loss in the big cities, and a 50% population loss in the suburbs and as much as a 40% loss in non-viable rural areas – I’m talking desert regions or other areas where there’s not a lot of agriculture that goes on.
Consider that it’s not just James Rawles – survivalist – that is recommending getting out of big cities. But economists like Dr. Marc Faber, who recently suggested the same strategy and said that you should Protect Your Property with High Voltage Fences, Barbed Wire, Booby Traps, Military Weapons and Dobermans. Billionaire John Malone has a bug-out location on the Canadian border, and a prominent hedge fund manager recently said he has a place in Idaho that you could hole up in if something went wrong.
Thus, if you often times feel like being a prepper means you’re disconnected from reality or that your friends think your crazy, just consider that Norway has built a massive Doomsday Seed Vault 600 feet above sea level and the US government is stockpiling weapons, food and equipment in underground bunkers around the country. Why would government organizations be stockpiling these things and preparing back-up plans if there was no possibility of the shit hitting the fan?

ONCE MARTIAL LAW STARTS STOP ALL SUPPLIES GOING IN AND OUT OF YOUR LOCAL POLICE STATION! This WILL stop them in their tracks!
STOP ALL THEIR water, food, power, people, movement, gas and their vehicles from freely going in and out. Doing this WILL starve them and choke their powergrip over you. How long can they stay strong, doing harm to you if they have no resupplies to keep them going for? They Can’t now can they?
Imagine if they get no more water, food, fresh personnel, gas, power, nor communications between their police department/staging area, to the outside swine… You see, you can stop them COLD and wait them out so never ever forget this, and tell this to everyone you know; in all cities.
Imagine if their vehicle tires are flat or the windows or engines don’t work… They can not deploy to stop the people now can they? Imagine if your community placed say 30 vehicles around the cops exits so they can not easily drive anywhere to harm anyone. Place them next to each other so they can not drive around them, and take the keys. They’ll have to take time and personnel to move each one to leave. Or do this to their gas station so they can not get anymore gas….? Or even drive them right up to all their doorways 3-4 deep so they can’t go in or out? Imagine blocking the main roads so they can not travel freely to do more harm to anyone…
STARVE THEM INTO SUBMISSION FOR THE PEOPLE! How long can they last with no power? Or food or water? Fresh personnel with no sleep? No radio communication between forces and base?
Each city needs to control their own local Police Station/Officers. No Police = FREEDOM From the corrupt GOV! Each community has the numbers and can easily defeat any city if they want to remain free. Please, pass this on to everyone you know NOW, so you know what to do BEFORE the web and power goes down! Have a gameplan like they are planning against you and your loved ones. Once your city is free, expand to your neighboring town to expand your freedom.
Sorry. Each cities local Police Departments were given War Grade Military Weapons TO CONTROL EACH CITY AND USED AGAINST YOU! Understand, this is the only way the Federal Gov and Elected Officials can stay in power. Without your criminal Police putting down their weapons that WILL BE USED TO MURDEr YOU, the Fed’s HAVE NOT POWER OVER YOU! They are the #1 specific Forces to “Contain” each city and keep they under their thumb! I have thought that one way to prevent intruders coming into a house or an apartment, could be to fill it or at least the entry with smoke but then, you and your family have to own and put on gas masks or go to a safe room that has an independent ventilation system or at least a window that can be opened to outside. No one wants to go to a place where they cannot breath and get their eyes to smart. The smoke could be generated with a tin punched by holes, filled with slowly burning paper and put in a flowerpot in a place where it cannot be seen from outside. I have not tested this method because I don’t want to smoke our home except in a real incident. Someone could try it if they have a chance to do such an experiment somewhere, without smoking their dwelling before the due time.
For several years now, I have made experiments with a mixture of three safe and simple chemicals, a mixture that seems to kill what ever harmful bacteria and viruses I may contract, preventing me from becoming ill. For almost four years now, I have used daily my mixture and am super healthy, although in my earlier years, I used to be ill once and again. This is my health story and it is true. I have tested my method countless times and know that it works. Some other people in my family have used it also with same results.
I used to be sick again and again in the past, even from my early childhood on. I contracted every new virus coming to my living area, sometimes same viruses twice. Now, I am super healthy. What has made the difference?
I think that it is a leading of God and an answer to my many prayers that I may know a method that can kill viruses like the Ebola virus, a method that seems to kill other viruses anyway. It is a combination of three chemicals, namely Sodium-chlorite (NaClO2, with ‘t’), Citric-acid ( C6H8O7) and Borax (The Twenty Mule Team Borax, Na2B4O7.10H2O) that all I ordered from the Net. They were not expensive. I have studied and used the mixture for years and it has really killed all viruses that I have contracted for almost four years now, although I have had a weak resistance against all viruses from my birth on. Several times in my childhood, as I still remember after more than 70 years, I was on the brink of death in destitute conditions like many people in Africa now, but God helped me. I did not die. Later on in my life, I had contracted every virus passing by and had to suffer much until I found the mixture that I am using in these times. My honest thank to God! No more sick, ever!
It happened that eventually, after harvesting a lot of alternative information from the Net, one net-friend of mine pointed out that the combination of the Sodium-chlorite and Citric-acid (MMS) is said to be able to kill all harmful bugs. I ordered the ingredients and tried the combination. It helped but not in the measure I had hoped for. When I contracted a very aggressive virus (maybe the Swine flu that was around in that time, the bird flu or alike), I did not dare to take the MMS so much that possibly, it could have killed the virus. I was becoming desperate. Then I got an idea. I owned a jar of Borax that is found to heal also in a certain measure (as well as a bottle of the Hydrogen-peroxide that I had experimented with too). I added Borax to the MMS and the effect was dramatic, what I wanted to. The virus was killed immediately and I was healed. Additionally, the two component MMS develops a bad smell and taste of the Chlorine (toxic) that caused an intolerable nausea to me, but the Borax binds the main part of that smell and taste because the element Boron in the Borax reacts vigorously with the Chlorine. One Boron atom is able to bind three Chlorine atoms, creating Boron-chloride. The body uses Boron as a trace element but the extra amount of the BCl3 is removed from the body among the urine, like it is with the table salt. That way I understand it. Anyway, during several years, I have not gotten any adverse symptoms from those ingredients and together, they work as a dream! If it were the Chlorine-dioxide that heals, why eliminating it with the Borax made the mixture remarkably more effective? So, it is the mono-atomic Oxygen that heals, and the mere MMS releases it also. That way I deduce it.
What is the secret of the effect of the triple combination? What feature of the SoCiBo, as I call it, is it that kills the harmful bugs? I don’t know exactly but I suppose that it is the mono-atomic Oxygen (O) that is released in the reaction when the Citric-acid reacts with the Chlorine (Cl) of the Sodium-chlorite, leaving behind the Oxygen of the same and then, the Boron (B) of the Borax catches the Chlorine, leaving behind the Oxygen of the Borax. The Sodium-Chlorite has 2 atoms of Oxygen per a molecule but the Borax has 7 atoms of Oxygen per a molecule. So, this may explain why the addition of Borax seems to make the mixture remarkably more effective than the mere MMS. The Citric-acid includes 7 atoms of oxygen per one molecule also and may release it but I don’t know really. I have no resources to do a due chemical analysis. True, one Borax molecule includes 10 molecules of water that dilutes the concentration of the Oxygen to be released but anyway, I have found the triple mixture to be very effective against all extra, harmful biology in my body. I have read somewhere (I don’t remember where, someone could find out) that the body itself generates and uses mono-atomic Oxygen to kill harmful microbes. Just generated Oxygen is in the atomic state and works very effectively. So, the mixture helps the body by generating extra atomic Oxygen to kill all harmful microbes. The vascular blood carries a lot of Oxygen in its red blood cells but it is not enough, at least not in my own body.
I even experimented with the triple mixture in one special way. I put a dose of it (nothing else) into a glass jar with edible mushrooms in normal tap water that filled empty spaces in the jar. The amount of the dose was about 5 ppm (parts per million, corresponding 500 milligram = 0.5 gram per 100 kilogram or 5 mg/ 1 kg) of the amount of the water and mushroom together in the jar. I kept the jar in our cellar for several months. Then, I made a mushroom steak from the contents of the jar. I ate the steak and it tasted good and felt good in my stomach without any symptoms. I thought that also other foods could be conserved that way.
One time, when I still had not developed my use of the SoCiBo enough, I was careless and contracted a very aggressive virus, I took about such a big dose. I had to bolt fast to the toilet where I emptied my stomach and bowels. The toxic remnants of the dead viruses and cells came out, both from above and below, and caused the sprint. Then I drank a little of water and took the big dose second time without more drastic reaction, and the virus was gone.
After getting good results from my experiments, I concentrated only in the combination Sodium-chlorite (with ‘t’), Citric-acid and Borax, the combination that I call shortly SoCiBo. I keep the ingredients of the combination as dry powder in three small vials that I fill from three jars that include the three ingredients as powder, every ingredient put in its own jar and vial as powder. I keep the ingredients separated in a dry place until I put a little pinch of every ingredient into a cup and pour some hot beverage on them. Doing it that way, I cannot taste or smell any bad and do not get any nausea. For the maintenance of my health, I take such a shot three times a day, in the morning, in the afternoon and in the late evening.
One maintenance dose of the three ingredients corresponds to about the weight of one dry pea thought powdered, 1/3 of pea of every three ingredient. I don’t use any precision scales but only estimate the doses. That way, most ordinary viruses keep away, and other harmful bugs as well. I even have gotten rid of my decades old warts and age old lip herpes. What’s more, when I got a tumor in my right thumb due to a small wooden splinter that I could not get out, I injected a little of he SoCiBo-solution into the tumor, and it was healed. (I don’t know if it was a cancer because I didn’t go to a doctor.) There are no signs of the tumor beginning to grow again. The splinter may still be there but cannot cause any more infection or tumor. Hardly any scar can be seen.
Even two more positive effects of the SoCiBo I can tell. My heart has an arrhythmia that the SoCiBo cannot heal totally, but it stops a fit of the arrhythmia every time it begins after I have taken a due dose. Even my mouth is healthy all the time, without seeing a dentist for several years.
If in spite of the maintenance doses, I surprisingly contract an aggressive virus that may get a breakthrough during a night when I am sleeping, I take a manifold shot corresponding to several peas, first less and then more if the virus is tough. That has happened now and then but the SoCiBo has prevented the virus attacks in their start or stopped short all my diseases during the last 3.5+ years. That is, after I had invented the SoCiBo, performed many experiments using myself as a guinea pig, taking the due risk, and learned to use the mixture in the correct way as I am doing in these days. I have observed no negative effects at all in these years while using the SoCiBo daily. Of course, the daily use is not necessary like I am doing myself due to my susceptibility to the virus diseases. If someone has a stronger natural resistance against the viruses than I have, they may need only to take a dose or some doses when the symptoms appear.
Now, I say honestly that I don’t fear the Ebola either or other mean bugs. They are no supernatural beings but micro-biological organisms and the SoCiBo effects chemically, not biologically. So, the Ebola or the like cannot develop a resistance against the SoCiBo, can it? If I learn or suspect that a killer bug has come to where I live or has gotten a contact with me through any person, a place or a situation, I will start to take double maintenance doses. If even that is not enough and some day, I will get suspicious symptoms, I will take a manifold shot that does not harm me as I have experienced, but can kill the bug, and then, I repeat the treatment if necessary. The Ebola incubates slowly (2 days to 3 weeks or more), so I have a lot of time to react. Something like the weaponized small pox that advances very fast, may be a big challenge. I only am concerned about that the ingredients of the SoCiBo could be taken from me on some pretext. In such a case, I will try the Hydrogen-peroxide because it releases atomic oxygen also, or the hydroxy water that too, includes atomic Oxygen, and if they do not help, I say to God, “Please, take me to Heaven but take care of the left behind if You don’t consider me worth of healing.”

This is my healing method that I have found out and experimented with. I have experienced its wonderful effects. Still, it is on every ones responsibility what they do after reading my story. This is only informative.

This type of die off scenario seems very likely within the next few years. I expect financial crisis and martial law within the next 6-18 months, followed by dictatorship, and the fulfillment of biblical prophecies culminating in a pole shift that makes a new heavens and a new earth. Few will survive into the 2020s.

All these, “When the Power Grid Goes Off” articles remind me of the “When the U.S.A. and U.S.S.R. Start a Nuclear War” articles in the mid-1980′s. They said back then there was going to be a Nuclear War with the same passion as people today with the Power Grid scenarios. Fun articles to read, but it will never happen.
