Virgin Galactic has released an updated users guide for researchers wanted to put experiment payloads on a SpaceShipTwo vehicle.
The company states that “This document will help you determine if the SpaceShipTwo research platform is ideal for your work and will give you a sense for how you should start designing your payload to maximize the value of your research flight. It is our hope that SpaceShipTwo will prove valuable for a broad spectrum of researchers, ranging from hardened veterans of space research campaigns to savvy experimenters who have dealt with other platforms but never spacecraft to bright-eyed students and fresh-outs looking to make a mark on the world. We’ve tried to write this guide in such a way that it is useful to all those categories of potential users.”
