Canada’s robotic contributions to the space station are celebrated on the nation’s new $5 bank note as was released into circulation on Thursday (Nov. 7). Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, who in April revealed the Canadarm2 and Dextre design of the blue-colored bank note from on board the International Space Station, helped to launch the bill from the Canadian Space Agency’s headquarters in Quebec. The polymer bill also features an illustration of a spacewalking astronaut.
