7 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THE LIGHT
When my brother Billy woke me soon after he died, describing what was happening to him in the next world, I thought maybe I had gone a little mad. How could my bad-boy brother, who died a tragic death, who had problems with addiction all his life, who didn’t live what most people would call a successful life, how could he be sharing secrets about life’s greatest mysteries from another dimension? But as time passed, my skepticism turned to wonder. One thing Billy taught me about was the true nature of Light.
- Being in a body and looking through physical eyes limits the way you perceive Light.Your physical eyes can’t see the Light directly, only the things it shines on so the Light remains invisible, just like the soul does. The Light in the world beyond this one makes visible what is invisible on earth: the divine nature of all things.
- Light has a personality.It contains every good quality imaginable: perfect wisdom, tender compassion, all-encompassing love. Whatever qualities come under the heading of benevolence, that virtue is there in the Light.
- All beings on earth carry the same Light within them. That’s why spiritual philosophies say that we are one. When you are evolved, this isn’t just a theory anymore. You see the Light everywhere, in everything, in you, as well as in me.
- Light is the invisible force that gives you life.Light propels your soul into your body when you’re in the womb. And when the time is right, Light launches your soul right up into a healing chamber at the moment of your so-called death.
- At the moment of death, Light heals you, cheers you on, and welcomes you home.In the first nanosecond that the Lights touch you, they erase any harm you suffered during your lifetime — physical, mental, emotional or otherwise.
- In the Higher Realmsyou’ll get a new body completely made of Light.You’ll still be you, but your consciousness will be clearer and more focused. Wisdom will come from inside you and shine out in all directions as bliss pours from your heart. You won’t have an actual heart, but it will come from that area. Instead of having feelings, you will radiate.
- Light is your ultimate destiny.Even if you aren’t able to see the Light right now, you are still moving towards it. As you move closer to the Light, you’ll start falling in love with everything, and you’ll feel everything loving you back.
The “Light” is always inside you. Every day, by remembering it, you feed it, and it will grow. When life is joyous, the Light will be there. When there is hardship, the Light will also be there. The shadow is illusory and temporary. Bliss, ultimately Bliss and Light, are the truer and stronger reality.
