Do You Trust Your Intuition?
By John Holland
Intuition is the language of the soul. We’re all born aware with a profound sense of inner knowing. It’s one of the greatest gifts we possess, which keeps us connected to our higher selves, the universe, and to our divine spirit. At one time or another, we will all experience flashes of intuition, especially when it’s vying for our attention. It’s those hunches, or gentle nudges, that we so often ignore or try to wave off as being simply our imagination – only to find out later that it was correct.
Intuition is natural and you have to realize that we’re all equipped with a complex and highly tuned inner-guidance system, which we can access and use anytime we wish. Receiving intuitive information is all about energy, and people, places, and objects are all comprised of it. Since you too are energy, you can receive and read information via your intuitive senses.
Recently I had an experience with my intuition that I didn’t ignore, and it had to do with my dog Koda, who sometimes has issues with his teeth. I’m always diligent about his oral health, and just last week during a vet visit, I had the doctor check his teeth. The vet said that his teeth could wait until the fall to be cleaned, so we left the office.
Just the other evening, Koda and I were sitting on the couch and as I was looking at him, I heard in my mind these words, “He has a bad tooth.” So instead of waiting until the fall, I opted to have his teeth cleaned right away. I was hoping it would be a simple cleaning, but then the vet called and said that they looked at the x-rays and found that he had an abscessed back tooth that was infected and needed to be pulled! By just looking at his teeth you wouldn’t know anything was wrong, but it took an x-ray to show what was happening inside the tooth. After discussing all of the options with my vet, we agreed that the tooth had to come out to stop any pain he might be experiencing. He had the procedure and he’s in the process of healing now.
