Send Out a Blessing
By John Holland
The Blessing of Community…
I recently got back from the ‘”I CAN DO IT” conference in California, which was attended by over three thousand people! Some people came in groups with friends, while many came by themselves. This awesome event is sponsored my publisher, Hay House, and I’m proud to have been part of this ongoing conference series, which takes places all over the U.S. as well the England, Canada, and Australia.
What I love about the conference is that it’s a place where like-minded people have a chance to come together to learn, study, and share in each other’s experiences. You can feel the bonding, the love, as well as the spiritual energy around the place! Everyone comes to the conference with their own aspirations, their own agenda, or some often because they just feel their soul gently guiding them to attend.
A Blessing of Connection
At the conference, there were workshops on many subjects from self-esteem, self-empowerment, medical and health information, and opening and discovering your intuition, to learning all about the power of affirmations and positive thought. There was a collective thirst to learn as much as they could to enhance the body, mind, and soul, and to hopefully find answers, positive life tools, comfort, solace, healing, and enlightenment, possibly.
I had the opportunity to speak with many of the people attending over the three days, and heard over and over how this conference was life changing, and how they wanted to take this good vibration home with them, so they could be role models for other people in their lives. I even enjoyed attending some workshops myself in my ongoing quest to learn from my colleagues. After all, I will always be a student. We never know it all!
Recognize When a Blessing is Needed
I got back from this fantastic event still feeling upbeat, and then went out to dinner with some friends. As we were all catching up with each other’s lives, the waitress came to take our order, and it was pretty obvious she was having a bad day. She was less than friendly, and was not hiding how irritated she was. Instead of getting upset, irritated, or angry myself, I used a technique that I was taught many years ago, and still use every time I encounter someone who is angry, annoyed, or just in a bad mood.
