Sorry Walter Veith there is no ‘Spirit of prophecy’ and I can prove it!
ONLY Young’s Literal translation faithfully renders the Greek: “spirit of THE prophecy”
“and I fell before his feet, to bow before him, and he saith to me, ‘See — not! fellow servant of thee am I, and of thy brethren, those having the testimony of Jesus; bow before God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of the prophecy.’” Revelation 19:10
The Apocalypse (Revelation, unveiling) = THE prophecy
One Greek word has been subtracted from Revelation 19:10…but not in the following verses that clarify WHICH prophecy represents the testimony of Jesus that the angel shows John : τῆς (tēs) Strong’s 3588
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of THE prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 1:3
“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK.” Revelation 22:7
“And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 22:10
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in THIS BOOK:

Revelation 22
Two contrasting Spirits with numerous witnesses (no 2nd mention of the supposed unique ‘spirit of prophecy’)
“We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.” I John 4:6 KJV

Why did the messenger (angel) even mention “the spirit of the prophecy”?
‘I am a fellow servant and brother holding the testimony of Jesus’…the focus is on Messiah who sent the prophecy, “the faithful and true witness” Revelation 3:14
