Highland Park police took a woman into custody on Monday after she reportedly attacked her son's girlfriend with an ax inside her home, according to the Detroit Free Press and WDIV.
Reports say the 26-year-old girlfriend and her 3-year-old son were taken hostage by the woman, who is the boy's grandmother. The child was released from the house, and WDIV says he appears to be unharmed.The Freep says the girlfriend was "injured badly," while WDIV says she believed to be dead
