The article below made me think of the movie called “Life Stinks” … it is a very funny movie where a very very wealthy man makes a bet to live in the streets for 30 days, without any access to his money …
Mel befriends two men who took him under their wings as to show him how to survive as a derelict … through the movie Mel also fell in love with a homeless lady … whom he marries when he finally recovers his wealth which his lawyers tried to steal from him during the course of the bet, as Mel lived on the streets …
He learned a lot of things living in the gutter, eating out of the garbage, sleeping under a cardboard, finding a hot meal in a shelter feeding the poor ..
I think every rich or well off person would learn a lot if they were to come down from their mountain … and live a poor man’s life for just one year … I think their values would change, for the better … and their lives would be enriched from the experience …
And of course they would learn that living on 20,000 a year can be done …
