Witness Statement: I’d just gone round to my mothers house to borrow her lawn mower as ours would not start. It was a beautiful warm day without a cloud in the sky and no wind or breeze blowing.
I was stood with my mother in her garden, she was looking at her plants and I was watching a plane that had just taken off from Manchester airport, when I became aware of a bright white orb shaped object that passed over my head from behind me travelling in a south westerly direction. It was travelling fairly slowly and I could see it quite clearly but was finding it difficult to tell how far away it was. It continued to travel at the same pace in a perfectly straight line when suddenly it accelerated very quickly for about a second then slowed to the same pace it was originally travelling at. At that moment my heart started pounding because I knew I was witnessing something very very strange (possibly a ufo).
The object then made a rapid zig zag movement left ,right , left and right then carried on straight until it disappeard behind some houses.
Unfortunately my mother did not see it so was left thing I was barmy.
I’ve never witnessed anything like in in my life. It was definately not a bird or a conventional aircraft and it was definately not a balloon. It was shaped like a smooth ball and was bright white or shiney metal reflecting the sun.
Why is it people would rather believe you were insane rather than believe you did actually see something like a ufo?
