There was enough DNA available to determine the race of the inhabitants and these people were R1b1 (Celtic). They even found finely woven cloth of a Celtic design. It is VERY rare to find cloth surviving this long. The fact that the soil surrounding the village was not disturbed and kept naturally moist, helped to ensure its survival.
