Witness Statement: After returning from a night out me and my boyfriend opened our skylight to have a cigarette out the window. My boyfriend noticed a bright bright white circular light in the distance hovering close to a nearby tower block in Heaton. This was approximately 4.30am. We watched for about an hour and took a few photos which did not do it justice. We know it was not a star because although it was a clear night, not a single other star was in the sky. This ball of light was as bright as the moon. This is when the weirdest thing happened. The ball had moved upwards and to the right and was now hovering above the tower block. In an instant two red orbs appeared not far from the bright white light. THEN a helicopter appeared out of nowhere from behind the next row of houses, the two orbs moved together to become one bright white/yellow diamond/arrow shape. The helicopter then scooped up the diamond and flew it over our house. It was absolutely mind blowing. The light coming from the helicopter as it flew over us was blinding and unlike anything we had ever seen before. The helicopter and the diamond dissappeared but the original bright circular light stayed put in the sky and slowly moved across the horizon. At about 7.30am we closed the window and fell asleep. Since then we have seen 2 helicopters hovering and patrolling over the area we live in. FREAKY. Did anybody else witness this? We cannot get this night out of our heads.
