Brave locals have taken part in their annual Indian ritual – voluntarily getting trampled by running cows.
To celebrate the spiritual occasion of Ekadeshi, husbands and fathers, in Badnagar, Madhya Pradesh, in central India, lined themselves on the streets as herds of running cows trampled over their bodies.
Locals annually decorate their cattle in henna and colourful flowers and let them run through the town.
