Witness Statement:I had been to an amateur astronomical meeting outside Eastbourne, where we had seen lots of artificial satellites going across the sky, and I was waiting outside one of my friend’s cars to take me back to London.
I was looking at the constellation of Orion in the winter sky, when I noticed a red star making its way along the heavens.
In the beginning I thought it to be an artificial satellite, but then two red lights joined it and I started to scream. My companions came out of the house and we all saw the three lights dancing and doing the most incredible things up there in the sky. The whole thing lasted for about fifteen ten minutes and the lights went in different directions afterwards.
I felt like hypnotised while watching the spectacle in the sky, and I have never forgotten what I saw on that clear night.
I am an amateur astronomer and I have seen a few wonders in the sky but this is the best spectacle I have ever witnessed.
