Some 600 hotel guests evacuated after “large” natural gas leak in Vai. Some 600 hotel guests have been evacuated in Vail on Wednesday afternoon following a “large” natural gas leak, the Vail Fire Department said. The leak happened about 4 p.m. near the intersection of South Frontage Road and East Lionshead Circle. Several roads have been closed in the area. The department says the evacuations are a precautionary measure. The evacuation includes the Mariott and Ritz-Carlton hotels. A repair crew from Xcel Energy is working to repair the leak, which will take about four hours. The department said the Salvation Army will provide food to the evacuated guests. http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_26288160/some-600-hotel-guests-evacuated-after-large-natural
