if one scrolls down through the site that is linked in this story, you will find a picture of curiosity! all by itself, alone!
WHO OR WHAT TOOK THE PICTURE!?!?! there is no armature extended from the rover to take the picture! The rover didn’t set a camera down and move into position for the picture!
It is either faked or it’s not on mars!
Probably photoshopped out for effect, or stitched together from multiple shots in a way that doesn’t show the armature.
I can’t imagine NASA saying “hey, Jeff, go into the fake warehouse and take a couple of good shots of the rover for the website, we’ll pretend the robot took them”.
