Witness Statement: My son and I were in the garden, he was laying on a sun lounger. He got my attention by saying ‘what the hell, look at that’. I looked up to where he was pointing and saw what at first I thought was just another plane. The skies here are criss-crossed all day with air traffic and trails, probably due to the aviation beacon at Brixham. But this was different. It was a silvery white colour, much longer than a jet-liner, had no wings or tail arrangement and was silent. It’s speed was greater than the jets we watch and its direction, SW-NE was unusual. Although I couldn’t guess its altitude, it seemed pretty high and for reference there was a jet to the North which I could clearly see had wings etc. This ‘tube’ was out of sight minutes before the other plane even though I thought they were both at roughly the same height.
