5 Pounds Lighter

(Before It's News)

Sharing good news that I've been steadily losing 1 lb. per week for 5 weeks in a row. No dieting, just having healthier meals about 3 or 4 days a week with lots of veggies, AND I've been eating more fruit as my snack a couple of hours after dinner. I don't feel hungry and I still eat a little ice cream and drink soda (though only 2 cans a day down from 4 in the summer.)

YAY!!

Last weekend I added walking up and down the hills around here when I'm not flaring whenever I can. Its a little scary because overdoing it can bring on a flare, but… its either risk that or just waste away into a pile of blubberous useless flesh! I hate de-conditioning! It happens every time my flares come too often and stay too long. It gets harder and harder to move my ass!

I'm using the lovely neighborhood with its slow traffic, safe walking trails, and the lovely autumn views to entice me outdoors for some exercise. I'm hoping adding this to my 'non-diet diet' will do the trick to lose the last 20 lbs I hope to shed.

Its always a struggle to balance physical exertion with rest, but I'm doing what I can. Anything I can do between bouts of flares will help. I may only walk a couple of blocks and have to turn around and come home, but –DAMMIT!– I will do what I can and try to build up some stamina and maybe get my blood pressure back under control again.
