BEAVERTON, Ore. --(Ammoland.com)- Leupold’s Tactical Optics division has delivered 351 Mark 6 1-6x20mm optics to Ft. Stewart, Ga., as part of the Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP).
SEP is designed to identify and evaluate commercial-off-the-shelf products that can bring increased effectiveness to military personnel.
In addition to providing the Mark 6 optics, Leupold sent a team of engineers and support personnel to Ft. Stewart to help develop and administer training programs, facilitate installation and answer on-the-ground technical questions.

The feedback the Army receives from these evaluations is critical in equipping our armed forces with the best possible equipment in a shortest possible time frame.”
Mark 6 units are already in service overseas with various U.S. military units. As a commercial-off-the-shelf product, the Mark 6 1-6x20mm is also the top choice among 3-gun and multigun competitors. Built around an ultra-bright daylight visible illumination system, the Mark 6 offers a true “both eyes open” situational awareness at 1x while offering the ability to identify and engage long range targets at high magnification.
