BOGART, Ga. --(Ammoland.com)-The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is pleased to announce that Dustin Smith of Wausau, Wisconsin, has joined the organization as the North Central Regional Director.

As the North Central Regional Director, Smith will support QDMA Branches and volunteers while promoting the formation of new Branches in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

“I cannot express how excited I am to join the QDMA family, and the opportunity to work with the caliber of people involved at every level,” Smith said. “I welcome the challenges this position will bring, and look forward to serving such a great organization and its members while helping to ensure the promising future of Quality Deer Management and our hunting heritage for many generations.”

Smith comes to QDMA from Alaska Crossings, where he was the Director of Purchasing/Funding Diversification since 2010. Prior to that position, Smith handled marketing, production and sales of outdoor products and services for a private business for two years. In 2007-08, Smith was the Market/Sales Manager for Parkway Products. Additionally, Smith worked as Manager of Operations and Sales for Marsh’s Hunting Preserve from 2001-04.

Smith earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing Management from Central Western University in 2006. He also studied Biology and Fish and Wildlife Management at Georgia Southern University from 2001-03.

A native of Northeast Georgia, Smith has a passion for the outdoors as demonstrated through his membership and time volunteering with QDMA, Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. In addition to hunting and fishing, Smith actively enjoys many outdoor activities including scuba diving, kayaking/canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, golf and travel.
