Are they forgetting that gun voters put them in office?
North Carolina --(Ammoland.com)- Although promising bills have been introduced, such as SB 342, for restaurant carry, sponsored by Senators Buck Newton, Dan Soucek and Jeff Tarte, and co-sponsored by numerous legislators, including Rules Chairman Sen. Tom Apodaca, both our Senate and House have been unacceptably slow to move them to the floors of both chambers for the votes they deserve.
Gun bills currently in play have been well-summarized by our friend at “An NC Gun Blog”, Sean Sorrentino.
NC gun owners worked hard during the last election to ensure that our Assembly is comprised of legislators who will protect and expand our Second Amendment rights. In an election favoring proponents of the Obama anti-gun agenda in other states, the success of NC pro-candidates were only possible due to our contributions of time, effort and donations.
We obtained results for pro-gun Assembly members, now it is their turn to produce the pro-gun laws we elected them for.
NC gun owners should be frankly disappointed by lack of movement of pro-gun bills, and the fact that we saw more pro-gun legislation passed under Democrat Speaker Jim Black than under current Speaker Tillis. Failure to expand carry into restaurants, laws on the books for years in surrounding states, is of particular concern.
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!
Please keep discourse with the legislators below both polite and friendly. All have excellent voting records on gun rights, and Rep. Tim Moore, in particular, has been a friend of gun owners. But remind them that with the approaching “crossover deadline,” by which time a bill must pass at least one chamber to remain alive, it is time for them to move gun bills.

Suggested Subject: “Please Move Pro-2A Bills”
Leaders of the North Carolina General Assembly:
During the last election that resulted in liberal advances in many other states, the North Carolina Assembly expanded conservative representation.
This unique success is largely attributable to the mobilization and participation of gun-owners in North Carolina races.
Gun-owners like myself worked hard to ensure that pro-Second Amendment candidates were elected so that fundamental freedom would be protected and expanded.
I am pleased that several pro-gun bills have been introduced, such as SB 342, sponsored by Senators Buck Newton, Dan Soucek and Jeff Tarte, and co-sponsored by numerous legislators, including Rules Chairman Sen. Tom Apodaca.
However, I am frankly disappointed by lack of movement of these bills, and the fact that we saw more pro-gun legislation passed under Democrat leaders Jim Black and Marc Basnight than under current leadership. Failure to expand carry into restaurants, laws on the books for years without issue in surrounding states, is of particular concern.
I respectfully request that each of you make a priority of moving pro-gun bills immediately.
I will be watching progress through Grass Roots North Carolina alerts.
Sincerely,
