Prep Updates 04/17/13
Apologize for the late update today, I’ve been traveling needed to find a wifi spot. The good news is I had today’s post (holster review) saved and ready to go. In other news this site continues to gain more exposure, which is always a great thing. As you know we are currently WOTM on Prepperwebsite.com and we also got a mention from JWR over on Survivorblog.com. I have to acknowledge and thanks all of those who contribute great articles here, with you all it wouldn’t be possible.

PJ: I wanted to believe that nobody would try to make this connection, but I guess one should never underestimate ignorance and stupidity.
Contemplating chaos in a nation of `soft targets‘
PJ: We tend to believe that we are insulated from violence and that the police are seconds away whenever we need them, nothing could be further from the truth. While we do have 3 letter agencies literally working around the clock to keep us safe, this nation is still full of soft targets which could be exploited by those with the desire (and means) to do so. What strikes me as odd is that people find it shocking that others in the world would seek to do us harm.
Europe faces threat of full-fledged depression
PJ: Replace Europe with “entire globe” and I think the picture starts to get a little clearer. We really are operating on borrowed time, there is no silver bullet that can change the trajectory of our global economy.

Boston Terror Attack Carried Out Right Under Nose of Police and Military
PJ: The article states that our anti-terrorism policies are ineffective, which I believe to be untrue. I’m sure the information is classified, but I can only guess that the number of attacks which have been PREVENTED since 9-11 numbers in the hundreds.
Boston attack underscores growing threat of IEDs in America
PJ: The effectiveness of the IED is well known, it’s been employed against our forces overseas with much success. Even the possibility of encountering IEDs can have a visible effect on morale, something that I’m sure those who wish to do us harm are well aware of.
