North Chesterfield, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Carl Zeiss Sports Optics proudly announces the appointment of Blake Egan as Sales/Business Development Manager – E-Commerce Channel and Special Segments.

In this role Blake will independently drive and manage all sales activities in the e-commerce channel of trade, with a separate focus on the business development of specialty retailer segments of Birding, Archery, Outdoor and Conservation businesses within the United States. This includes active qualification and expansion of dealer network, development of strong direct relationships with key accounts, and management of independent sales representatives in the region who are responsible for select retailers.

Blake Egan comes to Zeiss with many years of outdoor industry sales and product development experience. Blake previously worked as the owner of 10.9 Industries, LLC where he conducted industry market research, digital marketing, and product development work for a portfolio of outdoor and industrial brands. Prior to this role, Egan served as the sales manager for Marcum Capital/Opti-Logic, where he specialized in selling custom optical equipment for the industrial and sporting goods markets.

Egan has deep skills in digital marketing, e-commerce, process improvement, analytics and holds a Lean Six Sigma Certification. Egan was a former member of the US Archery Team and now enjoys the Colorado mountains, hunting, hiking, trail running and skiing.
