SPARTA, Ill. -(Ammoland.com)- Thanks to a generous donation from Larry & Brenda Potterfield to the ATA, this will mark the first year that the ATA’s AIM National Youth Championship Tournament will include performance and initiative funding.

There is no doubt that Mr. & Mrs. Potterfield’s generous contributions to our nation’s youth shooting programs will have a positive impact on all of the shooting sports for many future generations.

The ATA is proud and grateful to join in this endeavor and thank the Potterfield’s and the MidwayUSA Foundation for the opportunity.

The performance funding will include endowment funding to:

TRAP – teams with the top 10 scores in the ATA/AIM Junior Gold and Junior Categories in the singles competition (July 31-August 1). Awarded High Gun.

SKEET – teams with the top 6 scores in the ATA/AIM Junior Gold and Junior Categories in the AIM Skeet Championship (July 30). Awarded High Gun.

SPORTING – teams with the top 6 scores in the ATA/AIM Junior Gold and Junior Categories in the AIM Sporting Championship (July 29). Awarded High Gun.

NATIONAL COLLEGIATE TEAM EVENT – teams with the top 4 scores in each of the three NCAA divisions
(shot in conjunction with the NRA Singles, August 5-6) Awarded High Gun.

To be eligible all teams must have MidwayUSA Foundation endowment account established by July 15, 2017.

The ATA Team Fund Raising Initiative Challenge:

All High School and Collegiate Teams that compete in the AIM National Youth Championship will be eligible for this special challenge up to a maximum of 65 teams.

The ATA will match 1:1 team fund raising efforts to a maximum of $1,000 per team. The MidwayUSA Foundation will match 2:1 the same funds raised by the team, no maximum.

So, if a team raises $2,000, the ATA will match the maximum $1,000 per team and the MidwayUSA Foundation will match 2:1 or $4,000.

Bottom line – if a team raises $2,000 then the team endowment account will benefit by $7,000!

BONUS – The team that raises the most funds from the Challenge will be awarded an additional $2,500 in nonmatching
endowment funds.

PLUS! – All remaining fund raising teams will be eligible for a five team drawing. The five drawn teams will
receive an additional $1,000 in non-matching endowment funds.

About the MidwayUSA Foundation:
