SCI and CIC-US Unite Conservation Efforts

WASHINGTON, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- Safari Club International (SCI) is pleased to announce our new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation United States Delegation (CIC-US). This MoU demonstrates SCI’s commitment to support and use CIC-US as a facilitative forum to identify and coordinate global engagements on areas of consensus among participating U.S. hunting-conservation organizations.
SCI President Larry Higgins stated, “SCI is one of the largest international organizations to support and promote conservation and our hunting heritage. We look forward to leveraging our strength with that of the CIC-US to advocate for hunters.”
SCI’s major areas of focus with CIC-US include uniting hunters against wildlife crime, conserving landscapes under sustainable use wildlife management, preserving hunting as cultural heritage, maintaining sufficient funding for science-based wildlife management, and building partnership on sustainable use wildlife management.
Rick Capozza, President of the U.S. Delegation of the CIC stated, “CIC-US is appreciative of SCI’s committed support of our efforts to collectively speak as a united voice in supporting hunting and sustainable use. We look forward to working together for years to come.”
