Texas G.O.L.D. is a collaborative event organized by multiple organizations who support constitutional carry (the right for a person who is not legally prohibited from owning, purchasing or possessing a firearm to openly or concealed carry a handgun with or without a license), including: TAG, Gun Owners of America, National Association for Gun Rights, Cold Dead Hands 2A Advocacy Group, Lone Star Gun Rights, Open Carry Texas, Texas Carry, Texas Firearms Freedom, Texas Gun Rights and Texas Log Cabin Republicans.

A detailed agenda can be viewed on their website.

“We are looking forward to combining forces and lobbying alongside the Republic Party of Texas, and other national gun groups, as all of their efforts to promote constitutional carry is our number one priority,” says Michael Cargill, Executive Director of TAG.

About Texans For Accountable Government:

Texans for Accountable Government (TAG) is a trans-partisan Political Action Committee headquartered in Central Texas. TAG was formed with the ambition of reigning in the intrusive and expanding reach of government which threatens to invade every facet of our lives. Their ambition is to put the reins of government back into the hands of individual American citizens; allowing us to once again run our own lives. TAG focuses on issues at the local, county, and state level. They believe in the principle of a subsidiary and that power should be vested in the nearest locality, as local representatives are much more accountable to Texas than are those over a thousand miles away in the District of Columbia.

More information can be found on their website.
