ONTARIO, Calif.-(Ammoland.com)- Safariland, a brand of The Safariland Group, applauds Safariland Team members Rob Leatham for earning the title of “Top Open Senior National” at the 2017 USPSA Sig Sauer Optics National Championship in Frostproof, Fla., March 23 – 27, and Maggie Reese for her High Lady Champion win at the 2017 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun, March 24 – 26 in Mesa, Ariz.

Leatham’s winning score was 2005.7-points with 327.6-seconds of shooting. Last year, he qualified to compete in the USPSA Senior Division, and since then, has won top senior national titles in USPSA divisions, including Carry Optics, Limited, Limited 10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack.

“This was one of the most difficult courses of fire in many years with a lot of movement and plenty of far, hard shots,” said Leatham. “My reliable Safariland ELS rig with the 014 race holster was key to my performance and ultimate outcome. The fact that I survived for nearly 40 years in a sport that is based on speed and agility, is, more than anything else, really a testament of determination and confidence in myself and my equipment.”
