This year’s American Music Awards were full of full throttled performances, scantily clad performers and that darn dazed cat (thanks Miley Cyrus….well, not really). I won’t waste my time or yours by providing any further commentary on Miley or her cat. Pitbull hosted the star studded line up of award sweeps, comebacks and historic miles. In no particular order, check out some of the brightest and most intriguing moments of last night’s 2013 American Music Awards broadcast. Do you agree? What were the most interesting moments to you?

Katy Perry Unveils ‘Unconditionally’

Mic problems aside, Katy Perry opened the AMAs with a big bang last night. Her Asian inspired theme was extremely detailed and well thought out. It was her first time performing her single, “Unconditionally”. I’m sure this song will follow in the footsteps of “Roar” and become another hit single from her new album, Prism. She’s making a believer out of people with her live performances, including me.
