(Before It's News)

Who the heck is Jon Hamm? Ok, not the John Galt baloney that’s usually followed in this blogosphere. But really, who is Jon Hamm? I’m rather sure I’ve never heard of him, until… I watched a re-run of Black Mirror on Netflix. Go on check him out in “White Christmas” season 2 episode 4. This episode struck me deep, deep in the cookie. I’m like, who is this guy? The lead in this particular episode. Strange, I’m not into Hollywood or TV, per se, but surely I should know who this guy is? Well, I took to asking around, to my fellow Black Mirror fans, and they all responded, that’s Don Draper… you know Don, Draper? I’m like who the heck is Don Draper? Ok.. this is officially strange to me. I’m like… ok, I’m googling this guy, Jon Hamm…ok, googling…… first upon twitter, no official twitter account associated with this “Jon Hamm”… no verified Instagram…ok. Image search…. ok, I get this hot guys bulge shot, apparently he goes commando on the streets and the paps go in for the close up. Ok… then I see something very interesting… this unknown gentleman to me, a real smoking fox in a vintage suit mega hunk. Oh, “Don Draper” is the lead from the AMC Show “Mad Men”, a show I never watched…Why? Not sure, it embodies all things SmokingFoxVintage… anyway, so I did a deeper image search, I find this guy “Jon Hamm” wearing St Louis Blues gear? Hmm that’s nice, I’m a Blues Fan… then I see him in a St Louis Cardinals hat. Weird, I’m under contract, from birth, with the St Louis Cardinals. My grandfather was neighbors with Bing Divine, who, upon my birth, put me under contract with the Cardinals as an honorary member of the team. The contract is safely kept in my baby book. Ok, so I further read up on this St. Louis sports team fan, who happens to be a Smoking Fox and then I see he went to high school in St Louis, reading his bio in the Australian GQ. (And being from St. Louis myself, everything is and will forever be tied to your high school). It’s a sort of unspoken class system, a typical phrase upon meeting someone new. Before ones name is even uttered, it’s the quintessential St. Louis question. ” What High School did you go to?” This may seem odd to someone not from St Louis, but to us, it’s the fastest way to asses your compatibility. Super judgmental, yes, but super efficient. So come to read, this guy, Jon Hamm went to Burroughs, a fashionable private school located in the center of wealthy Ladue. Basically went to the school of schools, the jackpot of answers. Ok, next question is, what year did he graduate? 1989… weird, same as me. So I go back to reading the GQ article and he (Jon) mentions Al Bakers Restaurant. Ok.. now this is getting wild, here’s  a guy, on the cover of GQ talking about restaurants I know, loving sports teams I do, and graduating the same year I did? (I’m feeling like I’m in an episode of Black Mirror). I worked for the St Louis Blues, I’ve eaten at Al Bakers. How do I not know who this guy is? So… Jon Hamm, if you read this… Go Blues! Maybe I’ll see you New Years Day, at Busch Stadium cheering on our Blues, at the Winter Classic. Since I already know the answer to the most obvious question, where you went to high school, my next question to you would be, what hospital were you born in? Seems we’re the same age. Then, what’s your blood type? Which library do you hold a card to? Your favorite store at plaza Frontenac? And where did you learn to golf? Me? Forest Park. Do you have a Lake house? Me? Yep, on the 3 mile marker. Is Stan “the man” Musial sculpture good?⚜️
