(Before It's News)

Feb. 1, 2012 – I saw a bright light  in the sky. At first I thought it was the headlights of an airplane. Then it got brighter. Next I could see that it was shaped like a flashlight going straight up and down. The wide side of the flashlight object was going west over Dallas, Texas, USA. The brightest lights that I have ever seen flashed down and flashed behind it. The lights were clear and very bright. Then it burnt up. I think the lights may have been fuel from a falling satellite. If it wasn't a satellite, it must have been an airplane. It was not a burning rock. Did anyone else see it?

  • I should have said this was going east not west. A sonic boom was also heard a few minutes later.
The local Fox station just reported this as a fireball.
