What’s taking them so long? I read the book in the early 90s. “Casebook for Alternative 3″ is based upon a BBC Docudrama made earlier. Interesting book, though.
Good question, but from what I’m gathering, they put it out so long ago so people would forget. Like Olav said, 6 years ago, people thought he was crazy talking about Alternative 3…

It’s true, but work on it won’t start in earnest until 2034 because the technology for the space elevator envisioned by these useful idiots doesn’t exist yet.
