FSA Issues 48 Hour Ultimatum To Hezbollah: Get Out Of Syria Or We Will Attack Lebanon
A statement posted on the Free Syrian Army’s Facebook page reads:
“We [FSA] are announcing and warning that if Hezbollah will not stop shelling the Syrian lands, villages and civilians from inside the Lebanese territories within 48 hours of issuance of this statement, we will respond to the sources of fire by our hands and eliminate it from inside the Lebanese lands. Wishing from our people in Hermel [a city in Lebanon near the Syrian border] to stay away from Hezbollah’s rocket launchers and its military centers.”
From a purely military historian perspective, to see the FSA fight Hezbollah would be fascinating to watch unfold. War is nasty, no matter how you try to spin it and im not trying to sound terrible but I find it all very fascinating to watch. Where would the Lebanese military side? What about Sunni Lebanese militant groups? We’ve seen how Lebanon fractures and if the FSA were to attack Lebanon, It would be a full blown civil war in no time at all. You would then have a hell of a regional mess on our hands. Israel would no doubt feel the need to invade Lebanon for whatever reason. Hell it could even spark an Iranian response. The possibilities are nearly endless. I watch with anticipation. -Mort

war is “fascinating to watch”? how old are you? this is not a video game. this is not a motion picture. this is real life with very frightened people losing their homes, their children, their parents and their lives. please try to have some empathy, because this could happen anywhere, to anybody, even us.
I’m sure that you sound like one of the elites. Watching war is fascinating? Are you kidding me? Not only do soldiers die, but so do innocent civilians -including children. First of all, I’m not even buying that Hezbollah is shelling Syria. That sounds like more Israeli propaganda. I wonder what more the FSA were promised for attacking Hezbollah… Only psychopaths and brain-dead sheeple would be fascinated at watching a new front of war unfold -especially one as brutal as the war in Syria.
