MAJOR ALERT

Please be aware that the Samsung SSD drives do work on Win 10 BUT the OS CLONING and control software provided does not. It may crash your system and lock your keyboard.

I checked the Samsung site for OS requirements and it said nothing on win 10. I assumed it would work. I was wrong. Right off the bat, I assumed it was a Win 10 problem and contacted support. After almost a month of that I began my own testing and discovered that immediately on install of the software provided……no keyboard and windows went crazy. This testing has been done on 2 MSI laptop computers. The same affect. There is no doubt that this is the problem. I contacted management of Clonix (S. Korea) and was advised that their software is currently not ready for Win 10 but soon.

Samsung has not alerted anyone including the retail sellers of this and they are selling it as it will work with win 10 unknowingly. I have tried to make contact with management at Samsung, no reply as yet.

I was advised by Microsoft (a Tech Supervisor) that I am not alone in the win 10 problem I am experiencing and that they can find no solution for the problems I am encountering. Many people are also having the same type problems which may be related to the Samsung SSD software. Now they know what to look for thanks to my personal testing.

I can not speak for others but this has cost me thousands of dollars in losses. Not to mention stress and aggrivation. MS techs are tied up with this problem also as are the users. WHY? Because Samsung has failed to alert its users of the software provided (Clonix) with their SSD drives.

If you have this problem, PLEASE state so here. We need to know how many people are affected.

  • UPDATE

    I received a message from;

    Ian Sanderson: I’ve spoken with Samsung’s European tech support (which is outsourced BTW) and they suggested trying Macrium Reflect free edition instead. I will try it this week.

    So I am safely assuming that Samsung is using incompatible outdated for Win 10 cloning software after all, And we trust them now? Such a large company too and they do this to their customers? How sad, Isn’t that deceptive business practices and illegal? The hardships caused by this act on its customers and others is unimaginable.
