It look slike the storm is losing moisture…until it connects with the CF to th west(?). The STORM SURGE could yet be rather dangerous. Another danger is the cold when the power goes out, as well as the danger to kids in places of shelter — the latter is due to the large amount of pro-GLBT attitude in the NE USA, where kids are taught to think such things as normal & okay far too much.
This means, in ANY shelter – even with relatives – you CANNOT take for granted the safety of your kids, as more young people are becoming sexual predators & untrustworthy with matters of sexuality. Don’t be too distracted by the weather — watch out for your kids: it could haunt them for a lifetime if you don’t & they get harmed by perverts (whether adults or other youths).
Thanks for the links…I have been watching the Times Square cams and there are many people doing what they do, shopping, milling around eating, couples strolling, nobody is rushing. You would never know that there is a “storm of the century” anywhere.

I also have never been to Times Square or the NY for decades, and I’m impressed, not favorably, with the 20 story walls of TV screens that surround and engulf the citizens, each flashing commercials telling them what to buy, what to wear, what to think…
