From signage on the livestock barns, to fair vendors cooking with high-oleic soybean oil, to their exhibit in the Nationwide Donahey Ag and Hort Building, Ohio soybean farmers have an increased presence at the 2012 Ohio State Fair.
Bret Davis, a soybean farmer from Delaware County and member of the Ohio Soybean Council board says it’s a great way to help educate folks about the importance of soybeans.
“So why not highlight what our soybeans bring to the economy of Ohio and also the people of Ohio, in a heart healthy oil that we can use from now on that was just developed in the last few years,” said Davis.
Saturday, August 4 will be Soybean Day at the Ohio State Fair, which will provide fairgoers another opportunity to learn about soybeans when members of the Ohio Soybean Council will be greeting fairgoers at the Cardinal Gate entrance.
