You’ll learn a lot about the state’s political structure
Redistricting sliced up Arizona’s legislative districts and gave us another congressional district, but who knew we had 23?
That’s right. 23! All along Arizonans have mistakenly thought there were 9.
According to a report by Edward Gately in this morning’s hard copy of the sickly daily Periódico de la República de Arizona, “Jennifer Peterson, a Republican candidate for state Congressional District 23…”
The newspaper must still have an adult editor on staff, since a repair has been made to the online version.

I’m not coming to the defense of the Republic – I cancelled my hard-copy subscription several years due to their editorial leanings… however one needs to read carefully before running at the mouth (or keyboard in this case).
Read this carefully: “Jennifer Peterson, a Republican candidate for state Congressional District 23…” STATE Congressional District… Arizona actually has 30 STATE congressional districts. As in the Arizona State Legislature. We added a new US congressional district and had to redistrict – giving us 9 state representatives to the US House of Representatives.
