Man Fears Telling Wife Tax Refund Spent on Strippers, Makes Up Robbery Story

Jesus Mata of San Benito, Texas is now not only in trouble with his wife but also with local authorities after concocting a robbery story.

Apparently the 21-year-old husband did not want to go home and tell his wife that he spent their IRS refund money on lap dances from strippers at the Whisper’s Gentlemen’s Club in Harlingen.

He must have been mighty afraid because after the strip club outing he strolled into the local police station at 3 a.m. crying saying he had been robbed by heavily armed men with an assault rifle.  The problem with the story was there were too many holes in it said authorities.  Mata finally confessed saying: ““I started drinking some Bud Lights and I got a couple of lap dances.” “I was there until they closed at 2 a.m.”

He has been charged with filing a false police report with bail set at $10,000.

We don’t know what his wife had to say about all of this.  What do you think happened at the Mata household??
