Wave Of Assassinations Hitting US: Sheriff Assssinated In West Virginia
Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum was fatally shot Wednesday outside the Mingo County courthouse, WCHS reports.
The courthouse was evacuated and placed on lock down, WSAZ reports.
WCHS reports that a suspect has been taken into custody.
The suspect was shot but is “alert and talking,” and has been taken to the hospital, according to the Charleston Daily Mail.
Crum was eating lunch when a suspect drove by and fired at him, a county commissioner said, according to the Charleston Daily Mail. West Virginia House Delegate Justin Marcum said Crum enjoyed having his lunch in a place where he could see a former “pill mill,” the paper reported.
While campaigning for Mingo County Sheriff, Crum made drug control a central part of his platform, according to Charleston Gazette. by Coupon Companion”>House Finance Chairman Harry Keith White said Crum had been “aggressive” in combating drugs during his brief time as Mingo County Sheriff.
“Eugene Crum has exceeded my highest expectations as Mingo County Drug Enforcement Investigator and now as Mingo County Sheriff,” said Mingo County prosecutor C. Michael Sparks in January, according to WOWK-TV. MOREHERE

While I feel this Sheriff died wrongly and is quite sad, I support icetrout’s assertion.
The above quoted text says he was not on the side of the Constitution. Taking people’s unalienable rights for possessing a plant is abhorrent and if nothing else violates the 9nth. As we all know, the Constitution does not authorize making drugs illegal or any plants illegal for that matter. Nor does the Constitution authorize enforcing any such abhorrent laws.
We should be free to do with our bodies as we please, unless it violates someone else’s liberty. After all my Liberty ends where yours begins and vice versa.

My question is, “Did he sign on as a Constitutional Sheriff who officially said he would not enforce anti constitutional laws, like gun control?” If he did, then it was not the drugs, since those guys are smart enough to know you don’t kill a sheriff without bringing far more down upon your head than would otherwise have happened.
