John Legend Shows Support For Protesters
Singer and famed songwriter John Legend and his model wife hired food trucks to feed the protesters in New York. The couple sponsored a fleet of trucks so the people who are fighting against police brutality can eat while they demonstrate. There are millions of people lining the streets in various cities across the country and after the Grand Jury’s decision not to indict the officer that killed Eric Garner New York has increased activity.
Legend is a Grammy Award winning artist who has been vocal on his stance against police brutality. He has not gone out into the streets himself, but he and his wife Chrissy Teigen, are showing their support in a greater way. He never made a big deal about what he was doing, instead he Tweeted to over 560,000 followers. In his tweet the singer said when, where and for how long those who lined the streets of New York could eat for free.
