The 55-year-old man was shot around 3:15 a.m. in his home on the 2000 block of Clairmount, west of the Lodge Freeway, Officer Dan Donakowski said. He heard noises outside and had opened the front door to investigate when the suspect opened fire.
“The victim, who is a (concealed pistol license) holder, returned fire,” Donakowski said. “But it is unknown if any shots took effect.
